Safari Overview
This 11-day Rwanda Uganda safari is a great opportunity to explore some of the most diverse wildlife in Africa, spectacular scenery (even though the world’s longest river, the Nile River, originates from this country), and memorable cultural experiences. The great vacation spot off the beaten track, and Uganda’s wildlife destinations including Murchison Falls, Kibale Forest, Queen Elizabeth, Kigali city and volcanoes National Parks, are perfect for an ideal African safari.
Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to volcanoes
Upon arrival, our tour guide will welcome and brief you at the airport before transferring you to volcanoes national park reaching early morning in at the park headquarters
Day 2: Golden Monkey Tracking and Drive to Bwindi Forest National Park
On this day, have an early morning breakfast and drive to the park offices for the briefing, there start the golden monkey tracking in the forest. This activity starts at 7 am at the park headquarters where you will head to the forest with other tourists in search of the endangered Golden monkey. This takes about 4 hours or more of the Golden monkey tracking adventure inclusive of one hour stay near to them where you view them rolling on the Bamboo stems and present themselves with no shyness as it has been worked on through habituation and see the sights of their silver patch. From there you will transfer to the Gorilla land which is Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in Uganda. The road trip takes you through the beautiful kigezi land with dinner and overnight at the lodge

Day 3: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable
After breakfast, converge at the park headquarters for a briefing and gorilla group allocation. In a group of 8 trackers, you will be led by a game ranger in the company of several porters to a gorilla group specified on the permit earlier secured for you. Upon encountering the gorilla family, you will be allowed an hour to view and take photographs before returning to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. Afternoon activities, including a community walk, may be organized for you. Later, head for dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
In the morning, you will be transferred to ishasha sector of queen Elizabeth and on arrival game viewing in the Ishasha sector for the tree-climbing lions before lunch and later return to the lodge for lunch and evening relaxation at the lodger

Day 5: morning game drive through ishasha and afternoon and evening game drive
Today begins with an early morning game drive with an opportunity to see animals like elephants, lions, leopards, and lots of birds. You have higher chances to find lions when the sun is fully out and warm so you can stay or go to the lodge for a break and come back when it’s warmer assuming you started very early to look for more animals

Day 6: morning short game drive and then afternoon boat cruise
Today, after your breakfast, you will set out for an early morning game drive through Queen Elizabeth Park. You will be spotting various wildlife species like waterbucks, lions, African elephants, hartebeests, Rothschild’s giraffes, antelopes, cape buffaloes, leopards, and warthogs, and also view different crater lakes. After the 3-hour drive, you will transfer back for lunch. Then, you will prepare for the afternoon 2-hour launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which has the highest concentration of hippos in the world. This comes along with several bird species and animals like Nile crocodiles, African elephants, and antelopes, among others. You’ll have a game drive as you return to the lodge.

Day7: morning lion tracking and afternoon game drive then transfer to kibale national park
You will have an early morning breakfast and set off for a game drive in the Kasenyi plains north of Queen Elizabeth National Park for a lion tracking experience along with lion trackers and researchers to catch up with these predators hunting and feasting on their prey. You will have a chance to learn how these lions live together, how they feed and what makes them unique features worth visiting. Expect to see other animals like elephants, lions, Uganda Kobs, warthogs, buffaloes, waterbucks and not to forget several bird species that make up a total of about 620 in this park.
After the lion tracking activity, you will return to the lodge for lunch and after lunch you will check out of the lodge for afternoon game drive to look for morer wildlife and then after drive to kibale forest national park
Day 8: chimpanzee habituation experience
After breakfast, we shall head for an All-day chimpanzee habitaution experience Discovering chimpanzees in their natural environment and learning about the ecosystem of the forest. This process takes 3 to 6 hours.

Day 9: transfer to Murchison falls national park
Have breakfast and then proceed to Murchison Falls National Park. You will arrive in the afternoon, in time for lunch. Drive directly to the top of the falls from where the park derives its name. Here, you will see the calm Nile forcing itself through a narrow gorge of 7 meters wide to fall a distance of about 150 ft down, producing a thunderous roar of whitewater – incredible scenery. Have an evening game drive as your proceed to your lodge.

Day 10: morning game drive and afternoon boatcruise
After an early breakfast, our driver-guide will pick you up for the early game drive. Explore the major game trails, especially in the Northern bank, for good game spotting including lots of elephants, lions, giraffes, antelopes, jackals, hyenas, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, Jackson’s hartebeests, and hopefully the elusive leopards among others. Later on, enjoy your lunch break and some relaxation.
Later, we set out for the afternoon boat ride on the Victoria Nile which is the highlight of any Murchison Falls safari as you get to spot lots of animals at a close range. You will spot lots of hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and many other animals that come to drink water, refresh, and cool themselves off in the scorching sun. See other animals eating the fresh grass along the river banks. Drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Visit top of falls and transfer to mabamba swamp Entebbe and later drop to airport After breakfast, transfer back to Kampala with an en-route visit to the top of the falls for sightseeing. And later proceed to mabamba swamp for shoebill experience before dropping to airport
